Geraldine snell shares atmospheric double single "Delightful (I Love You Song) / Limerence"

Hebden-Bridge based electronic-art-pop artist Geraldine Snell unveils her mesmerising double single "Delightful (I Love You Song) / Limerence," marking her first collaboration with co-producer Richard Knight. The singles, a tantalising glimpse into her upcoming album 'overlove,' seamlessly merge into an immersive sonic experience.

Snell's signature sound, reminiscent of Portishead and Bat For Lashes with influences from James Blake and Bonobo, is heightened by Knight's techno-acousmatic hybrid vision. The tracks feature atmospheric synths, lo-fi beats, and dappled guitar, providing a plush backdrop for Snell's melancholic, feather-light vocals.

In a poignant statement, Snell shares that the double single delves into the complexities of longing, loneliness, and love addiction, exploring the struggle for connection amid emotional highs and lows. These themes resonate with Snell's experimental 'overlove' project, encompassing a book, web series, and original music.

The upcoming album, 'overlove,' expands on the concept of limerence, a state beyond regular emotions, with Snell drawing from personal experiences that impacted her eight-year relationship. With a master's degree in fine art, Snell's creative endeavours extend to films screened at prestigious venues and exhibitions commissioned by notable art centres.

As she gears up for the 2024 album release, supported by funding from Bradford Producing Hub and mentorship from Launchpad Leeds, Geraldine Snell continues to captivate audiences with her emotive, ethereal sound and immersive live performances.
