Noé Solange's EP, Rise, seamlessly merges her rich heritage with contemporary electronica, offering a captivating exploration of personal growth and introspection. With roots stemming from Dutch, Indonesian, and Surinamese backgrounds and a life journey spanning continents, Solange's music embodies a unique fusion of traditional instrumentation and modern production techniques. In the press release she explains that “Just like in nature, we have our own unique journeys of growth and I wanted each track to reflect a specific stage in this transformation – the gradual rise into bloom, navigating through moments of wilting before blossoming into newer versions of ourselves. It’s a constant cycle with each stage holding its own inherent beauty”.

The EP's introductory piece, "Sakura," sets a tranquil tone with its blend of ethereal harp melodies and evocative synths, reflecting Solange's early experiences in Japan and hinting at themes of renewal and optimism. As the EP unfolds, tracks like "Rise" and "Bloom" elevate the mood with their buoyant arpeggios and celestial vocals, symbolizing moments of empowerment and transformation. On "Wilting," Solange explores deeper emotional landscapes, weaving haunting vocals with intricate drum patterns and ambient textures. Despite the somber undertones, there's a sense of resilience and hope embedded within the music, echoing the cyclical nature of personal evolution.

Solange's masterful blend of organic instrumentation and electronic elements creates a sonic tapestry that is both emotionally resonant and sonically immersive. Rise stands as a testament to her artistic vision and her ability to craft music that transcends cultural boundaries, inviting listeners on a profound journey of self-discovery and growth.
